Jan Corley Walker Camplin and Ann Smith have chaperoned athletes, from Tennessee, since 1988. Ann attended camp for six years then Jan stepped in when Ann's children were born. Since 2000, they have worked as a team to make it possible for their students to participate in this life changing experience. In Tennessee, Jan and Ann provide vision services for students of Metro Nashville Public Schools where Jan is an orientation and mobility specialist and Ann is a teacher of students with blindness and visual impairments. At camp, the darling duo is responsible for creating unique memories by helping their athletes enjoy each activity to its fullest.
Jan graduated from Florida State University with her bachelor's degree in orientation and mobility and education of students with visual impairments. Ann received her undergraduate degree in special education from the University of Cincinnati, with minors in elementary and physical education, and her M.Ed, with an emphasis in blindness and visual impairments, from Peabody College of Vanderbilt University.
